hello this is harry with modern telecom
here to help you decide which phone is
best for you
fanville is making three model phones
that are very similar in nature and i
wanted to just take a few minutes to
explain to you why you might choose one
over the other
here to my left is the x3u x5u in the
middle and the x6u to the right
so starting here with the entry-level
model it's definitely small there's a
great wall mount bracket that you can
get for this phone
which makes it really convenient to hang
on the wall i'm also okay with hanging
this one on the wall as well but i find
that
we've we've received a couple of
customers with a broken wall mount
brackets
if you're a bit hard on the bracket this
is a big phone to be hanging on the wall
and it tends to if you've kind of rested
on it or pulled on it then you could
snap the pins
off the off the back of the bracket so
if you're wall mounting i would kind of
stick to one of these two models right
here
mainly your differences here between
these two models and all three of these
models is the absence and progressively
increasing number of extension
monitoring buttons which we can program
to do anything for you could be paging
intercom buttons conference rooms uh
speed dials you've got none on this
phone you've got some on this one and
you've got twice as many on this one now
these phones do have page up and page
down buttons so you can reveal
um other
other pages of buttons on them as you
kind of cycle through
but you still do i mean this is 30 uh
when you're done paging through and this
one's 60 so you do get significantly
more on that phone
in addition to the customizable buttons
you do get on the sides of the screens
so here you've got now one of them is
always your main identity line if you
have a if you're going to use at least
one line so consider one button for your
line which leaves two available buttons
here three available on this one and
four available on that one usually we
are using parking spot keys for those
buttons so
um this is almost always consumed with
your line key plus two parking spots and
there's no extra room for additional
programmable buttons and on here we do
the same thing line key two parking
spots and now we have an extra button we
can do something customized with so on
this phone we we put a call forward
button
over on this one we have even more spots
available so we we decided three parking
spots
another main difference between this one
and these two
are kind of the speed of the ui
maybe doesn't matter to some people but
it matters to me and this phone is a
little bit more sluggish due to just a
more
economical cpu that they put in that
phone so just to give you a visual
demonstration i'll push the directory
button on both phones at the same time
and you'll see which one responds faster
one two three go
the race is on all right directory
definitely came up faster on this phone
and only just now came up on that phone
so just day-to-day use of some of the
features if you're going to be using
company directories um navigating your
call history or going through menus of
the phone uh these ones are going to be
faster i believe if we do the same race
with these two i think it'll be the same
let's see
yep so those two about the same as i
suspected sound quality so that all
three phones are going to share the same
handset so when you're talking on one of
these dude ads um you're gonna have the
same experience if you are using a
plug-in headset
your options are more limited so on on
this guy you can only use an rj11 style
which is the traditional style headset
plug-in which goes into
a port on the back similar to the curly
cord that's running the handset
all right on these two model phones you
actually have two additional headset
options you can use there are usb ports
on the backs of these two model phones
so the x5 and the x6 you can use usb
headsets there's also bluetooth so you
can use a wireless headset with those
two models
moving on to speakerphone these two
phones have harmon speakers on them so
when you are using your speakerphone now
you can tell when it's kind of this this
mesh grille design that means that
phone's equipped with the harman speaker
and a more traditional where you can
actually see the the speaker uh coil
behind it that's using a traditional um
speaker so
not much i can do in the ways of giving
you a uh
a demonstration of the sound quality
when of course this is just
being recorded on a
on a webcam and put up on youtube so
you'll kind of have to take my word for
it but
moving over to the x6u because they're
really i haven't talked about too much
of a difference between these two they
are very similar except for the
differences uh this phone can handle
what's called h.264 video feeds so if we
want to now or down the road integrate
with any type of
video doorbell door phone
um camera system
we can do that with this phone we can
actually put video images up on the
screen so if you did want to see who's
at the door before triggering a door
opener to open it we can do that with
the x6u with the x5 and the x3
we can still interface with doorbells
and intercoms but we can only give you
audio these these phones cannot display
any moving video they can't decode the
h.264 graphics required only this model
can do that
all right hope you enjoyed this video
and found it useful and thank you very
much for watching
